Geboren und aufgewachsen in einer Kleinstadt im Nordosten Deutschlands, habe ich bereits als Teenager die Abenteuerlust und den Drang, die große, weite Welt zu sehen, gespürt. Ich wusste, dass ich nicht dazu bestimmt war, den Rest meines Lebens am gleichen Ort zu verbringen. Alles, was ich dazu herausfinden musste, war... das wie.

After being born and raised in a small town in the North-Eastern part of Germany (former GDR which was separated from West Germany and many other Western countries until the Fall of the Wall in 1989), I felt the spirit of adventure and seeing the big wide world already as a teenager. I knew I wasn't meant to stay in the same place for the rest of my life. All I needed to figure out was... how to leave.
